Twitter’s Blue Tick subscription to be relaunched by Elon Musk
Recently Elon Musk bought twitter & claimed that to get the blue tick, users must pay $8 per month, But After users abused the service to impersonate brands and individuals, Twitter suspended paid verifications.
But again, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said Twitter’s paused blue tick subscription service will relaunch with verification on November 29.
Musk has fired nearly half of the popular microblogging platform’s employees since taking over, including CEO Parag Agrawal.
Before Musk’s control, celebrities, government officials, and other celebrities received the blue tick after the platform’s website verified their accounts.
Musk stated that changing a verified name will result in losing the blue check with the new release “until Twitter confirms the name to meet terms of service.”
As the number of fake accounts grew, Twitter held its recently announced $8 blue check subscription service on hold. The change took place a week after Musk bought the social media company for $44 billion.
Musk stated that all unpaid legacy Blue checkmarks on Twitter verified accounts would be removed in a few months. According to earlier reports, legacy verified accounts would not be billed $8.
Musk said last week that the blue tick subscription service would be relaunched. Since Musk sealed the USD 44 billion deal to acquire Twitter, the past three weeks have been chaotic.
However, Musk’s announcement has made it abundantly clear that the paid Twitter blue tick service will resume by the month’s end
